Beyond: Growing People. Graeme Fancourt. 28 September 2008. 2 Corinthians 5:11-21. Graeme helps us to understand what what this meaty passage means to Christians who want to grow themselves, and to help others to grow. The awe we feel before God and the example to us of Christ's love, are key to our re-creation and growth. As a church, if we want to help others grow, we need to make space for people's humanity and their past. We need to be open and listen as they talk back to us now, personally, and as an institution. We must be God's fellow-workers, and our priorities for the future have to reflect this.
