The evening communion service included a time with a BMS (Baptist Missionary Society) Action Team, that had recently returned for a six month period of teaching in Delhi, India. Love is much more that mere action and words. It should run through our whole being. Love is two-way sharing of ourselves - it is taking risks in opening ourselves up. True love cuts right through us. How can we really understand the depth of God's love for us. Love, as Graeme explained is living before the face of God, being nourished by the radiance of his face. In the passage from 1 John we read the words of 'Love' but in reality it is a description of God. We hear much of what 'Love is...' but the key is how to live it and respond to it minute-by-minute in our daily lives.  |
