Hearing Voices: Marguerite Barankitse. Graeme Fancourt. 02 November 2008. PDF Print E-mail
This talk in the Hearing Voices series looked at Marguerite Barankitse. She is a Burundian humanitarian who began providing food and shelter to 25 children on October 25, 1993, one of the worst days of the Burundi Civil War. She saw many people brutally killed before her very own eyes and gathered 25 children who were there as well so she could help them.

Graham linked the words of Revelation 7 to the types of things Marguerite may well have experienced.

Where are our hopes and dreams?
On what do we base our lives?
What is our hunger?
Are we beaten into submission with our modern standards?

The service included our monthly evening communion service - a time of celebration as we meet Jesus Christ in a time of reflection, sadness and yet celebration.
