Wherever the disciples went they shared their knowledge of Jesus. Many times they were moving outside of their comfort zones – very much being 'outside' rather than in their 'holy huddles'. What we can clearly see is that much happened and they were overwhelmed with what happened. The Good News had a great affect. During the message one of the Church members, Tina, shared some of her recent experiences 'sharing' in the company she works for when a number of people were being made redundant. What can we do if we pray and move out from our comfort zones. God's Good News is not just for us but is is for the poor, the oppressed and the marginalised. Karl also gave us a true story of a Miss Elizabeth and her life in Africa with children. Good News is not an abstract piece of information. It is real and for each one of us. The talk ended with a very dramatic picture pained by Karl, based on a well known story in the Gospel which demonstrates the true value of Good News and how the Good News of Jesus can be life transforming. The talk also included a Power-point presentation. |
