Response Time: Remembering our Pride - Al Bishton. 24 February 2008. Acts 7:1-53. Stephen had God living inside of him. The Religious leaders owned the law - You did things their way - God and the people had little input. Stephen was his father's son reflecting his heavenly fathers attributes. The wisdom-of-Stephen could not stand up against his accusers. He may not have had the intellectual prowess of the Jewish leaders but he did not reflect his wisdom but God's, speaking through him. What it did for Stephen could be the same of us if we reflect God and not ourselves. Take away our own pride and let God. Which one of us will be the next Stephen. We may never be written about but in our lives God needs to be heard, hopefully through us. In our lives are we proud that we ---- or are we proud that God ----? .
