Advent Suppers 8th and 9th December
We are hoping to organise Advent Suppers again this year as way of getting to know more people in our congregation and enjoying fellowship together.  Everyone is welcome.  The idea of the supper is for people to meet at a host’s house with everyone providing a course. The forms are at the back of the church. Contact Lynne Clark  if you require any more details.

Messy Church Prayer Evening – November 29th 7:30pm.We are in a phase of challenge and change at Messy Church - our once-a-month congregation aimed at families who don’t yet know Jesus. We really need support from the church to capture a new vision for Messy Church and discern who God has called to lead Messy Church after the end of May. Regardless of whether you know what Messy Church is, have been involved in it or not please come and pray with us, that we might be able to continue to reach families with the love of God and see Wokingham transformed.

Carols by Candlelight service will be on Christmas Eve at 7pm. We have kind volunteers to organise and serve the refreshments afterwards, but we need a few
people to help with the clearing up please. Many hands will make light work! Please contact the church office if you can help.

Exploring Christianity We would like to run a course for those who wish to find out more about what it means to be a Christian. It would take place in someone’s home on a midweek evening chosen to suit those who express an interest. The specific course we choose will depend on those who are interested, we are very flexible!
A course would be run over approximately 7 weeks with a 3-week break over Christmas and New Year. It involves watching a video about the topic for that week, followed by an open discussion. It'll be a relaxed place to explore questions you've always wanted to ask - no question too big or too small!  The course will be led by Victor Freeney. Please have a word with Anna Rogerson, Pat Meadowcroft, Nick Hudson or Victor if you would like to know more or are interested in coming along.
Please continue to pray about who you might know/invite who might find such a course helpful.

NEW SMALL GROUPLife is full of change and new opportunities. Jilly, Anna R, and Adrienne are looking to form a new small group that will not only study the word of the Lord, but, also have a focus of doing something practical in the community. Something close to our hearts is the plight of the homeless, so we are trying to think of ways we could combine helping the homeless in some way with a new type of small group. If anyone also has an interest in this, would like to join us, or perhaps just input some ideas that would be brilliant. We thought if people were interested we could arrange a get together with tea, coffees and cakes to see where we go from here. We welcome anyone to join us from all ages and stages of life. We really look forward to hearing from you. Please come and have a chat or contact. Jill Blanchett or Anna Rogerson.

Exploring Baptism Sessions.
Baptism is a wonderful way that Jesus encouraged for a person to express responding to Him in faith and trust, and as a sign of belonging to His church. It’s a personal step of commitment that is a big encouragement both for the individual and those around them.
These Exploring Baptism sessions will help you think about what it means, what it involves, and whether it might be the right step for you. We explore questions like: ‘Am I good enough? Am I ready yet? What if I don’t like water? What if I was christened? What if I’ve been a Christian for ages? Do I have to make a big speech?’
If you are just a tiny bit interested (and maybe a tiny bit scared!) then please
contact Nick or Isabel to register your interest.
We will put on the sessions at a time convenient to those involved. Go on…!
