A Winter Nightshelter for Wokingham
The exciting news is that WBC is one of several churches who will be hosting this new initiative for this winter. Volunteers are needed to welcome and to help with meals.
There will be an Information Evening at church on Wednesday 23rd October 7.45-9pm, with Jan Howlin (Salvation Army), Tony Green (Kings Church) and Fay Philp (Pilgrim Hearts Nightshelter, Bracknell). Come and hear about the plans for this winter and how you could be involved. For more info speak to Nick or contact office@wokinghambaptist.org.uk

The next Mission Prayer Meeting will be on Wednesday 30th October at 8pm at Claire Willis' house. Speak to Claire for more details

Soulscapeis happy to announce that we will be delivering our Prayer Space PAUSE in Holt and Emmbrook School in January 2020. A space for personal exploration, time to ‘be’, an opportunity to stop looking at the clock.
Young people have described PAUSE as “…interesting, positive, relaxing, calm, emotional, tranquil, comfortable, quiet, creative, not at all what I was expecting…”
We are looking for volunteers to help with these days in schools; setting up and being present across the day. You don’t have to commit to all four days. You can help with a day, half a day, an hour whatever works for you.
If PAUSE sounds like something you would be excited to get involved with please email anna.marsden@soulscape.org.uk or speak to Michelle.

LZ7
Please keep the LZ7 schools project in your prayers this week. The band will be going into these Wokingham schools from Monday - St Crispins, Emmbrook, Piggott, Holme Grange and Luckley House. Please keep these schools, the teachers and the young people in your prayers as we hope they encounter God throughout the week. Please also pray for the churches and youth workers supporting this project, that we may be Christ-like role models as we go into the schools.   Thank you, Sav.
