New Hearing from God course - starting 3rd October
You might remember the course that ran in May/June last year called Hearing from God, led by Kings Church, hosted by Wokingham Baptist Church?
Around 20 people attended the course from 5 different churches. It was great to be able to grow together in learning to hear God's voice, share experiences in a safe place, and ultimately led to us running the Prayer and Healing Service in January this year. The course is being run again from Tuesday 3rd October for 6 weeks, this time at Kings Place, Station Road. If you'd like to register, or just find out more, please contact prayer@wokinghambaptist.org.uk.or speak to Anna Rogerson

A new Small Groupis launching in October, led and hosted by Vicki and Allan Gibson at their home. ‘A group for people of faith who wish to explore scriptural teaching applied to the complexity of our modern world against the backdrop of contemporary values and understandings.’
For more information or if you might be interested, please contact Vicki Gibson.

Calling all Bakers and ‘Cakebombers’:The next round of cake deliveries to new residents on the new housing developments will be on Saturday 23rd September.
We need your home-made cakes! Could you help by baking a cake or two for us – maybe encourage a friend to bake one too?
Please get hold of and fill in an instruction/ingredients sheet [attached].
Cakes need to be freshly baked (not frozen) and fit in an 8-inch cake box (supplied on the day). Bring them along at 9.15am on the day, or get them to someone in your church who is involved, or deliver on Friday to Nick's home. Every cake goes to a grateful new resident.
You can also join in with the fun part – delivering them to homes on Mulberry Grove. This time we will meet at 9.15am at the Crest Nicholson marketing suite at Wheeler Avenue, RG40 5AH (top of Keep Hatch Road). We will be delivering for about an hour between 9.30 and 10.30. We are seeing again and again how much these cakes are appreciated by people moving to a new community, and what good will it creates. Get baking and be part of it!

National Prayer Weekend - 29th Sept to 1st Oct
The National Prayer Weekend is an opportunity to show God’s love to our community by letting them know we are praying for them. As we did last year, we are planning to post prayer request cards through the doors of our neighbours in the streets nearest our church, and then call door to door to collect them on the morning of Saturday 30th, meeting at church at 9.30am. We have enough people to deliver the cards now, but we would really value more people on the door knocking team, so if you think you can help, please contact Sue Chapman, or Anna Rogerson.
At the Sunday Evening Communion Service we will be praying through the requests we receive. We will also be praying for requests received from others in our community that we connect with, including Seaford Court, 4321, and those who come to the Salvation Army drop in/meals. Please come if you can to pray, and to hear a little about these specific outreach activities.
