Quiet/Reflective Day - Saturday 20th July, Ascot Priory
On Saturday 20th July we are back at the beautiful Ascot Priory for a day of spiritual reflection along the theme of ‘Doubt - when things don’t make sense’. The day will be led once again by Alison Hassall, spiritual director with the SPIDIR network https://www.spidir.org.uk/. The day normally costs about £7 - teas and coffees provided throughout, but please bring your own lunch. If you would like to book a place, please email or speak to Anna Rogerson.
Yoga Prayer - an Invitation to Contemplation
Sometimes it is difficult in this busy world to quieten our minds and have the opportunity to contemplate to draw close to God. Yoga can be a way of finding that space for contemplation and prayer, bringing mind, body and spirit together in worship of Him.
So, come along to stretch and find space in your mind and your heart. Come with a prayer, come with a piece of scripture to consider, or just come to get away from the world and get close to God on your mat.
We need to limit numbers to ten places, so please sign up via the WBC Facebook page if you want to give it a go. You don't need to bring anything, but if you have a favourite mat, feel free to use it. Just wear loose, comfortable clothing that you can move in.
Location: Upper Room, WBC
Sunday June 23rd
Please put this date in your diary! Roy Searle will be here again and there will be a lunchtime BBQ. More details later.
Time and Space
The next Time and Space will be on 30th June. We are now going to run them twice a term, and a Quiet Day probably twice a year, which seems to be a frequency which feels about right. If you'd like to run a Time and Space session, or have an idea for one, please speak to Anna Rogerson, Karen Crooks, or Mark Passenger. It's great to have a diversity of styles and different ways of connecting with God! There will also be a new opportunity for praise and worship called 'The Gathering', every second Sunday evening from 7pm to 9pm at Salvation Army. It's being run by a group of musicians across churches.
