We are a friendly group of girls and leaders who normally meet in the church hall on Monday evenings during term time. We are a uniformed organisation similar to Brownies and Guides. Explorers meet from 5:30-6:45pm, and Juniors, Seniors, and Brigaders meet from 6:45-8pm.
We like doing things in and for the community. These include cooking for the homeless, raising money at fayres and events, and also more recently painting positive encouragement rocks to hide in and around Wokingham.
We have regular parade services when we join with the church family on a Sunday morning. These are normally on the first Sunday of the month.
Our annual fees are £45 a year per girl or £90 a family. We also operate a small tuck shop each week which the girls are welcome to purchase from at your discretion.
We are part of SE Berks District and there are other companies in Woodley, Bracknell and Maidenhead. In 2018 we celebrated 125 years of Girls’ Brigade. Our company began in 1984. You can find out more about GB at http://www.girlsb.org.uk/
Please feel free to come and visit us to see if you would like to join. Please contact us through the church office.
