This October, to mark ten years of Tek Ura our mission partners in Albania, they are putting together a team to take on the Tirana 10K — and they’d love you to be part of it. All the Trustees and some of the staff are going to run, and Nick will be running too. Would you like to join in and get some sponsorship?

The race takes place in Tirana on Sunday 18th October 2026 – and also features a Marathon and a Half Marathon, if you prefer a bigger challenge!

The weekend includes a celebration evening at the Tek Ura centre in Tirana on Saturday 17th October — a chance to see the work, meet the team, and hear the stories. Then on Sunday, we run together through the streets of Tirana.

They’re asking everyone who joins to raise a minimum of £250 to secure their place, and to aim for £2,000. If 20 people hit that target, together we raise £40,000 for the years ahead.

You don’t need to be a serious runner. You just need to want to be part of something meaningful.

Runners will need to sort out their own flights and accommodation.

If you are interested in taking part in a run here in Wokingham on the same weekend and raising money for Tek Ura, plans are in progress to make this happen so watch this space!
