World Day of Prayer, Friday 7th March 2025

The Word Day of Prayer is is a global event where every country around the world takes part in the same service on the same day. Each year the service is written by women of a different country and this year our sisters in The Cook Islands welcome us and lead us for the Day of Prayer 2025. This group of 15 islands in the South Pacific Ocean has a rich and colourful Māori heritage and a deep connection to nature.  Their theme is ‘I made you wonderful’,  based on the words of Psalm 139.

In Wokingham, churches take turns to host the World Day of Prayer Service. This year it will be at Corpus Christi, at 10.30am on Friday 7th March.  All are very welcome to this ecumenical service.
